Msengezi River

The Musengezi River meandering through the Mavuradonha mountains creating attractive scenery and magnificent hiking country. It attracts a lot of tourists annually.

Mutota Monuments, Chisora Village, Mbire

Mutota Monuments located at the heart of Chisora Village, in Mbire provided a fortress for women, children and was a resting haven for freedom fighters during the 1965-1980 liberation struggle.

Lime deposits in Dotito, Mt Darwin

Lime is a soil conditioner and controls the soil acidity by neutralising the effects of acids from nitrogen (N) fertiliser, slurry and high rainfall.

Karanda Mission Hospital in Nyamahobogo, Rushinga

Karanda Mission Hospital was established in 1961 to meet the needs of mission stations in the Zambezi River valley which were established as churches and then, as the abundant health care challenges were seen, small dispensaries/clinics were developed along with the churches (then came schools).

About Us

The Dande Heritage Conservation Syndicate (DHCS) is a local Non Governmental Organisation being a catalyst for growth towards self sustainable and lasting opportunities for Korekore rural communities for better, improved and sustainable livelihood.

The Organisation was founded and officially registered in 2023, (Reg. V4/2023, 000094A), spearheaded by three former Mavhuradonha High Schoolmates, dedicated to the revitalisation and preservation of Korekore cultures, starting by the restoration of the pride of the Korekore language.

The Syndicate will improve the livelihoods of the rural Korekore communities by attracting, retaining and expanding the local economy, infrastructure, agriculture, education, culture and health services.

The Syndicate will achieve its goals through a number of strategies which include conducting environmental research, preservation of sacred sites and advocating for community empowerment projects.

In line with the Government of Zimbabwe’s development trajectory of attaining an Upper Middle Income Society by 20230 the Syndicate will express itself through advocacy in the following eight (8) pillars

We mobilize resources for use by kith and kin in the Korekore areas. We also manage the resources on their behalf.

We promote and lobby for Infrastructure, Housing Utilities and Development.

Health Services

We help and promote the improvement of health services in the communal areas in Mashonaland.

We engage donors and wellwishers on behalf of our communities to improve their livelihood.

Building Local economy

We promote local trade and economy. We also link the traders to international markets.

Youth, Education, Sports and Culture

We promote youth empowerment, education ,sports and culture.

We promote agriculture to ensure food security in our communal areas.
